Water park

If your kids are fans of Sesame Street, then this water park is right up their alley. Based on the Peabody Award-winning TV show, the park is packed with family-friendly attractions and timeless characters.

The former Aquatica San Diego water park was rebranded as Sesame Place in 2022, and it continues to offer great deals on tickets and season passes. The park also offers block-out dates and special events, such as the annual Halloween Spooktacular and A Very Furry Christmas.

Its many splashy rides and slides are ideal for preschoolers and older children who are not afraid to get wet! However, be sure to check the height requirements of each ride before you purchase your Sesame Place discount tickets.

The pool area at Sesame Place has a pirate theme, complete with water slides and other fun activities. There are also some shady areas where you can relax and soak up the sun. You can rent a cabana for the day, but it’s best to book in advance. Here is another spot to visit.

Interactive shows

Guests will love watching the colorful Sesame Street Neighborhood as it comes to life in the park. The neighborhood features the iconic 123 Stoop and special interactive elements, including Hooper’s Store, Abby Cadabby’s Garden, and Big Bird’s Nest.

There are also several rides based on the TV show that is appropriate for all ages. Elmo’s Rockin’ Rockets is a great way to get your kids to take control and fly up and down, while Cookie Monster’s Mixer is a family-friendly water slide that features the beloved character.

Kids will also enjoy a variety of live shows and performances, including the daily parade and live character meet-and-greets. The park is also a Certified Autism Center, which means that the staff is trained and educated to provide specialized services to children with special needs.

Character meet-and-greets

If your kids are big Sesame Street fans, they’re sure to love the characters they meet at this San Diego-based theme park. Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Grover make appearances all throughout the 17-acre park.

While the theming isn’t as elaborate as that of a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge or Wizarding World of Harry Potter, there’s enough to keep your little ones entertained. For example, the Bert and Ernie Topsy Twisty Tunnels tube slides pick up the color scheme of their apartment-mates shirts.

Guests can also ring the doorbell at Oscar’s Grouchy Grub and take photos with Abby Cadabby, Zoe, and Cookie Monster in the colorful, interactive street of Hooper’s Store, Mr. Hooper’s, Big Bird’s Nest, and the iconic 123 Stoop.

If your kids need a break from the rides, they can play in one of the many water attractions including a wave pool and lazy river. These attractions will keep them cool on hot days in Southern California. Continue reading about San Diego Zoo.
