If you’re looking for a relaxing place to take a walk or run, Rohr Park is a great option. It’s a small but gorgeous park with lots of grass and playgrounds.

Provence House
Originally built as a private home in the late 1940s, the Provence House has undergone several transformations; first as a park ranger office and then as a history center. This recently renovated building is now an impressive special events location for South County.
It is located next to Rohr Park in Bonita CA and boasts 4,000 square feet of space for your wedding, reception, or other special occasions. Moreover, it has multiple large windows and an enclosed patio.
It even has its own model railroad! The park also offers a dog park and lots of other amenities. So if you are looking for a new place to host a big party, then Rohr Park is definitely worth checking out! It’s a huge park with a ton of features.
Dog Park
Whether you have an active pup or a more laid-back pooch, the dog park at Rohr Park Bonita CA is perfect for your four-legged friend. It has separate areas for small and large dogs, a drinking fountain, and fun agility equipment.
This park is one of my favorites, it’s clean, spacious, and busy! I like that it’s divided by size, there’s a water station and poop bags are readily available.
The only downfall is that there are a lot of people who don’t pick up after their dogs and leave poop in the park. There are a few poop bag stations but it’s best to bring your own.
Playgrounds
Rohr Park is a large green space with a playground, fields, walking trails, model train rides & an equestrian track. It also has reservable picnic areas, gazebos, and some restroom buildings.
The main playground is very fun for older kids (ages 5-9) and has a play structure with spinners, balance beams, slides, climbing structures, and a zipline! There’s also a smaller playground with a tot lot and a spring bouncer.
There are also two fenced-off sections of the park for dogs to play in off-leash. The dog park is really nice, with a cute water fountain and agility structures. Picnic Areas
Rohr Park is a hefty chunk of land, which offers everything from a model railroad to an equestrian track. In addition, it features reservable picnic areas, baseball/soccer fields, a walking/jogging trail, and a few playgrounds.
The park is also home to a 3.3-mile loop trail that circles the outside of the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course. It’s a fun, soft-surface trail that will get your heart racing. It passes under some old, stately eucalyptus and oaks, winds over a few wooden bridges, and draws a fair amount of exciting birds to the area. The park is located in Bonita, a small unincorporated community that borders Chula Vista to the south. It’s a must-visit for anyone in the area. Thanks, City of Chula Vista!
Model Railroad
If your kids are train fans, then you’ll be happy to know that there is a miniature railroad at Rohr Park Bonita CA. A group of rail enthusiasts creates and maintain these 1.5″ model trains at the park, allowing visitors to take rides.
The Model Railroad at Rohr Park is located next to the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course in Bonita. The park offers gazebos, picnic areas, playgrounds, and a walking trail around the golf course.
The train rides are run by the Chula Vista Live Steamers, a nonprofit organization of train lovers who create and maintain these mini-machines. The rides are free but donations are appreciated. Find out more!
